Study: Orlando not so hot for young adults - Orlando Business Journal:
March 16 2010, 3:43pm
The City Beautiful ranked 52nd in a report prepared by the parent of Orlando Business Journal. The study analyzed the 67 U.S. metro areas with populations above 750,000, searching for qualities that would appeal to workers in their 20s and early 30s.
Other Florida metro areas fared poorly as well, with Jacksonville No. 47, Miami-Fort Lauderdale No. 53 and Tampa-St. Petersburg No. 64.
The rankings are based on a range of demographic factors, including population growth, employment growth, young adults' share of total population, and income and employment levels.
