morrisdailyherald.com | Entrepreneurs say economic climate is changing business practices
December 26 2009, 5:07pm
Five to 10 years of no growth will change the way Americans do business, local entrepreneurs Eric Peterson and Richard Mitchell maintain.
“I believe there’s going to be a lot of market changes in the next years,” Mitchell noted during the regular monthly business luncheon of the Grundy County Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
He believes it will take up to 15 years for the national economy to recover. He urged those in business to get their minds off their pity parties and move forward while awaiting the recovery.
“Focus outwardly,” he said. “Keep your enemies closer. Strengthen your current relationships and create new ones. Make sure you consistently tell your clients what you have to offer.”
